Chicago’s pioneer vogue dancers perform by the pool on a cable access show called “Teenage” in 1990 (same year Paris Is Burning, which showcases vogue dance, came out.) This dance style, inspired by the geometric looking model poses in Vogue magazine, came from the African American and Latin American ballrooms in Harlem in the 1960s. Back then it was called “presentation.”
